Selected Work

Over 15 years, I've designed across a wide range of industries and contexts. Here's a selection from the archive.

Enterprise UX — Energy Trading Platform

Client: Confidential (energy sector, UK) Role: Lead UX Designer

An internal trading platform used by 200+ energy traders making decisions worth hundreds of millions of pounds daily.

The key challenge was information density. Traders needed to process 15+ data streams simultaneously. The solution wasn't to reduce complexity — it was to give traders cognitive control over that complexity.

Key deliverables:

The most important design decision was letting traders build their own layouts. Giving control over panel arrangement reduced the onboarding time from 3 weeks to 4 days.

Mobile App — Credit Risk Tool

Client: Financial services firm, Poland Role: UX/UI Designer

A mobile-first credit risk assessment tool for field agents at a consumer finance company. Agents used it to assess creditworthiness during in-person customer visits.

Constraints: poor rural connectivity, agents with varying technical literacy, sensitive financial data on personal devices.

The design prioritised offline functionality and progressive sync. The interface was validated with 12 field agents before development began.

Emergency Services — Dispatch Dashboard

Client: Emergency response organisation, Australia Role: UX Designer

A dispatch and coordination dashboard for emergency response coordinators. High stakes, high stress, no tolerance for errors.

The most valuable research output was a cognitive load analysis of the existing system. Coordinators were making 3–4 extra clicks per incident due to poor information hierarchy — in an active incident, those seconds matter.

The redesign reduced average time-to-assign by 22% in usability testing.

E-commerce — Consumer Electronics

Client: Mid-size electronics retailer Role: UX/UI Designer

Full e-commerce redesign — product listing pages, product detail pages, cart, and checkout flow.

The conversion focus was the product detail page. A/B testing infrastructure was built into the design handoff to allow ongoing iteration post-launch.

Key changes: simplified product selector UI (variant selection reduced from 4 steps to 1), trust signals positioned at scroll-fold, shipping estimate added to above-fold content.

Tools & Process

My design toolset has evolved over the years. Currently:

I work in component-based design systems by default, not because it's fashionable, but because it forces precision in thinking about states, variants, and edge cases before development begins.
